St. Patrick's Day

For St Patrick's Day we decided to celebrate at MacCool's with Brian and Emily and their kids. It's an Irish American pub type restaurant with homestyle food. So yummy! Of course we wore our finest green clothes. It was fun to see what other people were wearing as well!

So I ordered the chicken pot pie and out came a bowl of creamy chicken soup with this huge piece of flaky crust on top. It was seriously the biggest thing I've ever called food. 

About Us

That is our cheesy couple pic above.  We are just regular people living regular lives.  Our daily routine is pretty normal, Matt works as an attorney and usually works from 8:30 to about 6.  Matt has his own law firm with a partner, they do several types of law including bankruptcy, family law, divorces, eviction, real estate, and debt collection.  Matt is even doing the legal work for an adoption for a couple in our ward.  Even though Natalie worked in architecture, right now she helps Matt part time with office duties and doing his client's bankruptcy paperwork.  His firm is relatively small, just 4 attorneys and an office manager.  All the people in the office are friends and like to work and hang out together, so the work atmosphere is fun yet productive.

Natalie loves to oil paint and mostly does landscape paintings.  Check out Natalie's posts on her current paintings.

We are both into being healthy, we go to the gym everyday and eat healthy food (most of the time).

We love to travel, whether it's visiting family that live in other states or going to new places, we love having adventures and seeing new things.

Some of Natalie's favorite tv shows are The Biggest Loser, Project Runway, and Painting Instructions on the Public Television Channel (it's cheesy, but they really are good painters :)).  Matt mostly watches sports and news and he must have movie popcorn at least once a week, so we go to a movie about once a week, usually on Wednesday nights. 

It's hard to give you a picture of our personalities, but I will say we love to laugh and make jokes, we are hardworkers, we are loyal to commitments, we are loyal to friends, we like to hang out with friends and family, and have a very happy life together. 

We are very much looking forward to being parents.  It is one aspect of our lives that creates a lot of emotion, we are sad that we are unable to have our own biological children, but the thought of being able to adopt really is a blessing and brings hope to our struggle.  We can't imagine going through life without having children.

Girls Day Out

For my sister Kerry's 40th birthday we all celebrated by having a girls day together.  The day started with a nice run outside with Natalie, Janine, and Rachel.  We all went to get pedicures and went to Cafe Rio for lunch.  After lunch we went over to Fashion Place Mall, of course the day started and ended in the Nordstrom's shoe department.  Many items were purchased as you can see.  From the top left: Julie, Natalie, Lauren, Kerry, Mom(Chris), Janine.  From the bottom left is Candice and then Rachel.  What a fun day and a great way to celebrate!!

Natalie's Family

I am 4th of 6 kids, I have 2 older sisters, an older brother, and 2 youngers sisters, yes that's 5 girls and 1 boy in the family, and 2 parents. 

My parents are Clyde and Chris, they are great parents and even better grandparents!!



My oldest sister is Kerry, she lives in Indiana, her husbands name is Shawn and they have 4 kids:  Rachel, Ian, Abi, and Hailey.

Next is my brother Bret, he lives in Utah and is married to Julie.  They have 2 kids:  Isabelle and Genevieve June (we call her June).

My sister Janine is 3rd, she lives in Utah and is married to Jeremy.  They have 3 kids:  Lily, Holland, and Rocco.

Then it's Natalie, that's me, married to Matt, and we have one doggy child and no human children.

Fifth, is Candice, she lives in Utah and is married to Chris.  They have 2 children:  Zoe and Luc.

Last is Lauren, she lives in Utah and is married to Paul.  They have 2 children:  Melia and Cooper.
