We decided to enroll Lexi in a one day a week preschool class. This picture is of the first day of class. For some reason she was sure that she needed to bring these 2 toothbrushes, I guess you never can be too concerned about oral hygiene...am I right? She is loving her class, they are learning about a new letter each week, do art projects, and play, of course. She is absorbing as much information as we can teach her, such a smart girl!

Birthday
It was Lexi's Birthday this week! We had lots of fun celebrating the past few days. Today we had a party with cousins and a few neighborhood friends at Lexi's Grandma's pool. Lexi enjoyed every minute. She managed to destroy half of her cake using a Woody Toy Story doll. It was awesome. We are so thankful for her and love her very much! Thursday, July 3, 2014
Some Hiking
Matt ditched work a little early today so we decided to go on a hike to switch things up a bit. I started out running up the trail. Thinking I would get bonus workout points, you know? That only lasted a few switchbacks up, maybe next time. It ended up not being too hard, the trail disappeared on us a few times, but we managed to find the waterfall at the end, see above. Oh and the thunderstorm that rolled in mid-hike, no big deal ;). Lightning and thunder in the canyon is a little freaky!

Little Neighbors
One of the fun things about our neighborhood is that there are a lot of kids. These 3 cuties are all within months of the same age. Obsessed with bubbles in this pic, oh and apparently have moms that share a particular swimsuit cover-up fashion sense.

Happy Father's Day 2014
I am so thankful for Matt, he is an amazing husband and father. He is so hardworking, patient, loving, strong, and understanding. He and Lexi have the cutest father/daughter bond, they love to hang out together. Lexi always asks "dada home?" when she wakes up in the morning, she can't wait to see him.

Easter Egg Hunt 2014
Our family egg hunt has become a such a fun tradition. This year Lexi was able to really participate. She ran as fast as her little toddler legs could go from egg to egg. The pool ladder was no deterrent for her, she climbed up and grabbed her last egg & then we helped her down. Up is still a lot easier than down. She loved opening the eggs to see what was inside!

Christmas 2013
We had such a great Christmas this year! Lexi was interested in all the decorations. The lower half of our tree was void of all ornaments within the first couple days of the tree going up. She loved to look at the tree, she would point and say pretty, it was adorable. She didn't seem to mind sitting on Santa's lap, the phrase "never met a stranger" definitely applies to our friendly girl. It was fun to see her get so excited about her new things, she got a princess tent, some videos, a bitty baby doll, and a few outfits. Christmas definitely seems magical with little kids around. Love this girly so much!
