Happy Halloween 2013

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, it is so fun to get dressed up. I love all the creative costumes people think up. This year Lexi was a cute little kitty & Boston was a scary dog spider. Lexi absolutely loved trick or treating around the neighborhood with all her buddies. She also really liked the candy (something she hardly ever gets)! 

Autumn

We have had such gorgeous fall weather this year! It makes me want to take long walks multiple times a day so we don't miss a minute of it. Lexi has been enjoying the cooler weather. This past summer was too hot to be outside for her so the change in temperature has been great for her. She has spent almost everyday playing at the park and helping me walk Boston. 

We went to Cornbellys at a Thanksgiving point a few weeks ago. It was so fun! Lots of things for little kids to play on/with. We went through the shorter version of the corn maze, went on a hayride, ate lots of yummy treats, and picked out some big pumpkins!

1st Birthday!!

Our little Lexi turned one last month. She got a wooden rocking horse for her birthday. She spent the day playing and then had a luau swim party in the evening and all her cousins came to celebrate with her. We are so grateful for Lexi and love her so much. She is an amazing little person!!

California

Last week we went to Concord to visit Matt's parents. Lexi had fun exploring their backyard. We went shopping, ate at all Matt's favorite places, made s'mores in the fire pit, and just relaxed. Matt and I went down to Carmel and Monterey for a night. It was our first night away from Lexi, I think it was much harder for me than everyone else. Lexi was all smiles when we met them at the beach the next day.

Dirt is Fun

While staying in Sun Valley Lexi had lots of time to play outside. She discovered that dirt is fun to play in and even eat! Luckily I caught her before she got a full mouthful. I'm thinking we may have a sand box in our near future.

Climbing Stairs

Lexi is getting more mobile everyday. This week she has been crawling to the stairs, pulling herself up to knees, then to standing, and then climbing to each tread. Going up seems to be going well. Going down is still not so good but we will continue to work on it. It is so fun to watch her learn new things. I love this girl!

Toilet Papering

We turned around and found this sweet girl having the time of her life in the bathroom unrolling the toilet paper. When she saw us she walked out and brought it with her. I'm thinking she's going to have some mad toilet papering skills in about 10-12 years.

Walker Toy

Lexi got a new toy this week. She loves it! She absolutely loves to walk around and this way she can walk almost on her own. I'm pretty sure it won't be long until she is walking completely be herself, will someone slow time down!

New Camera

For Mothers Day I got a fancy new camera. I'm super excited to get better at taking pictures. It seems to be going pretty well so far. Here are some of my first pics:

Mothers Day

I loved celebrating Mothers Day this year. It was my first being a Mom & I feel so incredibly blessed to have my little Lexi. It kind of felt like child appreciation day as well.

We started out the day at a family brunch at my aunt Claudia's, my Dad's sister. Later in the day we went to my Mom & Dad's for a family dinner. It was nice to celebrate the day with family and acknowledge all the great Mother's in my life.

Easter

Easter was a blast this year with little Lexi. We spent Saturday with the cousins dying eggs and having an egg hunt. Lexi loved her plastic bucket and held on while I helped her pick up a few eggs. The plastic eggs are her favorite, she loves to take them out of the bucket and open them up. Easter Sunday we went to church and to dinner at Janine's house. It was so fun to hang out with everyone.
