Every year on New Years Eve Natalie's family goes to an art museum to look at art! The day usually starts with everyone meeting at the museum, it is usually not very crowded, which is good because the little kids tend to get a little noisy. We walk around and talk about the pieces that we like, the kids like when there are interactive exhibits. Then we all go have lunch together which involves a ton of pizza, one of our favorites. The past 2 years we have gone down to the BYU art museum, in 2010 they had the Carl Bloch exhibit, it was so amazing. Here is one of his paintings:
This year in 2011 we just looked around on the lower level of the museum, there is an exhibit called Wide Open Spaces, that focuses on the American Southwest. I really enjoyed seeing the different painter's styles and approaches to art. Such a fun tradition.
